Interesting and varied Solution Architecture role supporting the transformation of global technology platforms across this NFP in the education sector. The role is largely remote with travel to London expected once monthly and provides a blend of working on leading cloud & application solutions with an excellent team and good work-life balance.
This is a product-focused role, working closely with Product, Delivery, Enterprise Architect and business stakeholders to build end-to-end solutions across the digital product landscape.
Solution Design & Architecture- Design end-to-end solutions aligned to enterprise architecture principles and technology roadmaps.
- Produce architectural artefacts including solution diagrams, data flows, integration structure, and technical specifications.
- Support discovery and delivery phases in collaboration with Product Managers, Technical Experts, Business and Academic teams.
- Participate in backlog refinement, architecture reviews and sprint planning.
- Translate product requirements into clear technical designs for delivery teams.
- Develop cloud-native and cloud-optimised solutions using AWS and Azure.
- Support best practice, cost optimisation, resilience patterns and governance.
- Modernise Legacy applications into cloud-based architectures.
- Design and govern integration patterns across internal systems, cloud platforms, CRM/ERP and third-party applications.
- Promote API-first design, event-driven architecture and secure data exchange patterns.
- Ensure data integrity, availability and coherent data flows.
- Provide architecture guidance to development teams throughout delivery.
- Assess technical risks, identify dependencies and propose mitigation strategies.
- Conduct technical evaluations of vendors, platforms and tools.
