Ivy Rock Partners is supporting a values-led education organisation to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner on an initial interim basis. This is a key role within a growing and evolving organisation, offering the opportunity to influence people strategy, support senior leaders, and drive meaningful organisational impact.

The role: Reporting into senior HR leadership, you will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across multiple sites, providing high-quality, pragmatic HR advice and support. You will play a critical role in enabling organisational performance through effective people management, coaching leaders, and ensuring best practice across all employee relations activity. This is an initial 3–6 month contract, with the potential of transitioning into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead HR contact for senior leaders, providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters
  • Manage a broad range of casework, including absence, conduct, capability, grievance and organisational change
  • Support workforce planning, identifying risks and implementing appropriate interventions
  • Partner with leadership teams to drive performance, culture and engagement
  • Coach and develop managers to build capability and confidence in people management
  • Support organisational change programmes, including restructures where required
  • Ensure policies and procedures are consistently applied and aligned with best practice
  • Contribute to the development of HR frameworks, toolkits and people initiatives

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Business Partnering role, ideally within a multi-site environment
  • Strong track record managing complex employee relations casework
  • Confident influencing and coaching senior stakeholders
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Ability to balance strategic input with hands-on delivery
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Experience within the education or public sector would be advantageous, but is not essential.
