Ivy Rock Partners is working with an established not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join its finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable experience who enjoys managing people, improving processes and ensuring the smooth running of a busy transactional finance function.
We're looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day AP operations, provide hands-on support to the team and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the Accounts Payable team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and deadlines are met.
- Oversee the end-to-end purchase ledger process, including invoice processing, approvals and supplier payments.
- Manage supplier queries, resolve discrepancies and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Oversee supplier statement reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
- Monitor team performance, provide guidance and support staff development.
- Identify and implement improvements to AP processes, systems and controls.
- Support month-end activities, reporting and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and payment policies.
About You
- Proven experience within a busy Accounts Payable function, ideally with supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes, reconciliations and payment controls.
- Confident managing workloads, prioritising deadlines and supporting team members.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across an organisation.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with finance systems and Excel.
- Experience improving processes or supporting system changes would be advantageous.
