We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our Estates and Facilities team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our venues and properties are maintained to the highest standard, providing a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our guests and teams. Working closely with the Regional Maintenance Managers and the Head of Maintenance, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day maintenance tasks, resolve issues quickly, and contribute to continuous improvement across the estate.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Carry out general building fabric repairs, including painting, decorating, basic carpentry, tiling, and minor plumbing.
- Undertake preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to minimise downtime and improve asset performance.
- Support on-site teams and contractors to ensure smooth coordination of maintenance works.
- Conduct regular inspections and report on job progress, safety issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and any issues identified.
- Assist with site refurbishments, marketing installations, and special events or “buy-outs.”
- Communicate effectively with operational teams to minimise service disruption.
- Proven experience in maintenance, facilities, or building engineering (hospitality experience desirable).
- Confident in general building repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards and compliance.
- Able to work independently, prioritise workload, and solve problems quickly.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A flexible approach to work, including a willingness to travel between sites as required.
