As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling a range of desserts and afternoon teas. The perfect candidate will be an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual with a passion for pastry and willingness to develop their skills. This role is ideal for a Pastry Chef who can balance the delicate execution of detailed dishes with the demand of a busy kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for pastry.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and pastry techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality desserts according to recipes and standards.
  • Set up and stock their assigned section with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Collaborate closely with prep chefs to monitor inventory and ensure correct daily par levels.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety.
  • Follow instructions from the Senior Management to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
