Job Description

The Junior Sous Chef will work alongside the line chefs to ensure every dish is prepared to our high standards. This is a hands-on role – perfect for someone who loves being actively involved in the kitchen, cooking on section, leading by example, and working with a passionate team to create memorable culinary experiences for our guests.

The Junior Sous Chef will also work alongside the Head Chef and Sous chefs participating in many aspects of the kitchen operations to further develop their career, these may include but are not limited to the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring correct prep levels by our dedicated prep team.
  • Ensuring deliveries and stock are put away correctly by the Goods Receiver.
  • Temperature records.
  • Junior staff wellbeing.
  • Checking cleaning rotas are completed.
  • Monitoring and training staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for learning and growth.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and basic culinary techniques.
