We’re seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a respected commercial and residential contractor based in Gloucester. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the region, with sites located within an hour's radius of the office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to join a well-established contractor with genuine career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and evaluate bills of quantities, tenders, and contract documents.
  • Track and manage project budgets, valuations, and variations.
  • Conduct site visits and work closely with project teams to monitor progress and costs.
  • Assess and negotiate sub-contractor and supplier contracts.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (ideally 5+).
  • Experience working for a main contractor on commercial or residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management processes.

Preferred:

  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Practical experience with main contractors will also be considered.

  • Salary: Up to £65,000 (depending on experience)

  • Hours: 8am-5pm, office-based (no remote working)
