We're searching for an enthusiastic and adaptable Learning Coach to support students within a specialist educational provision in Gloucester.

Requirements

  • Experience: Experience working with children and young people, preferably those with additional needs.
  • Qualifications: A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided where required.
  • Compassion: A genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing, development and educational progress of young people.
  • Flexibility: The ability to adapt to the needs of students, learning environments and EHCP targets.
  • Desirable: Experience working within an SEMH setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students to engage with school-based education by identifying barriers to learning and implementing bespoke strategies.
  • Delivering one-to-one and small group learning experiences.
  • Supporting students throughout their educational programme both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Planning, delivering and monitoring a range of learning activities across different settings.
  • Supporting students to develop skills, independence and confidence.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals.
  • Contributing towards targets set within EHCPs and individual learning plans.
