We're searching for an enthusiastic and adaptable Learning Coach to support students within a specialist educational provision in Gloucester.
Requirements
- Experience: Experience working with children and young people, preferably those with additional needs.
- Qualifications: A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided where required.
- Compassion: A genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing, development and educational progress of young people.
- Flexibility: The ability to adapt to the needs of students, learning environments and EHCP targets.
- Desirable: Experience working within an SEMH setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students to engage with school-based education by identifying barriers to learning and implementing bespoke strategies.
- Delivering one-to-one and small group learning experiences.
- Supporting students throughout their educational programme both inside and outside the classroom.
- Planning, delivering and monitoring a range of learning activities across different settings.
- Supporting students to develop skills, independence and confidence.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals.
- Contributing towards targets set within EHCPs and individual learning plans.
