Ivy Resource Group are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join their company on a permanent basis in Swindon, Wiltshire. The company: Our client is a regional contractor who predominately work in the commercial sector on projects such as schools, colleges, churches, museums etc. The role entails: Assessing the Client’s requirements Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials needed, and labour requirements Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that estimates are accurate Conduct site visits to gather necessary information Measuring quantities and preparation of the bill of quantities using specialized software and industry-standard methods Preparing and sending out subcontractor and supplier enquiries. Analyse and interpret the subcontractor’s proposals to ensure the Client’s requirements are met Identify risks, opportunities and make informed decisions about pricing and profitability Requirements: Have worked for a similar contractor, 3 years experience as a minimum. 5 years + ideally Knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and materials Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Good communication and negotiation skills Professionally qualified preferably construction related or equivalent proven ability and experience in similar role Proficient computer skills, particularly Conquest estimating software and Excel Hold a full UK driving license Benefits: Competitive salary Working for a company with a strong order book of future works Genuine opportunity for progression Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 + car allowance How to apply: Submit your CV Call / Text / Whatsapp Robbie on (phone number removed) for a confidential conversation.
