We're looking for a confident, adaptable HLTA‑level practitioner to join a specialist school in Cheltenham on a maternity cover contract, with the potential for a longer‑term role. You do not need an HLTA qualification - strong, relevant experience is what matters most.
What We're Looking For
- SEN & SEMH experience - confident supporting pupils with additional needs, behavioural needs, or emotional regulation challenges.
- Alternative provision background - or similar experience in PRUs, nurture groups, specialist settings, or high‑needs environments.
- Adaptability - able to support across KS3-KS4 with small groups or 1:1.
- Resilience - calm, consistent and able to build trust with learners.
- No formal HLTA qualification needed - your experience is what counts.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering small‑group or 1:1 support across KS3-KS4
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Leading sessions when required (no planning)
