About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated Head of Year to join our pastoral team and play a key role in supporting the personal development, behaviour, attendance and wellbeing of our students.
As Head of Year, you will:
- Be the first point of contact for students in your year group, supporting them to meet high expectations for conduct, progress and attendance.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and staff to ensure every child is known, valued and supported.
- Lead interventions.
- Monitor student wellbeing and safeguarding concerns, ensuring effective follow-up.
- Support key events including leading assemblies.
The role is 37 hours per week on a term-time only basis (39 weeks per year).
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is approachable, calm, resilient and has the ability to engage and motivate young people.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Can manage a busy workload and respond quickly to pastoral issues.
- Has experience in a school, youth work, or similar setting.
- Shares our commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and aspirational standards for all students.
