Trainee Payroll & HR Administration Officer – Surrey - Hybrid - Up to £28k p.a.

Ives Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be working on a retained basis with this established, customer focused organisation, who pride themselves on integrity, collaboration and offering an extremely professional service to their clients.
They are looking to recruit a Trainee Payroll & HR Administration Officer to join their established team. You will be given full training and support and have the opportunity to develop and grow into the role.
The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end in-house monthly payroll and all associated administration. You will be responsible for calculating SSP, SMP, holiday pay, pensions and associated benefits. You will use BACS to pay net salaries and PAYE/NIC, provide payslips and will offer advice to employees and respond to payroll queries. You will also liaise with HMRC, complete RTI submissions and provide management reports.
The role will also involve HR administration work including starters/leavers and contractual changes. You will maintain holiday, sickness and other leave records and support the administration of employee benefit schemes and monthly pension updates.
This is a great opportunity to join an extremely collaborative and supportive team, whilst giving you the scope to work autonomously and under your own initiative.
Requirements:
- Experience within an administration position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and to manage multiple workloads
- Proficient using IT software including excel
- Keen to learn and with an eye for detail.
