Our dynamic special needs school is looking for Health & Care Assistants to support and nurture our incredible pupils across our school. This is a role supporting our class-based staff in the care of our young people, including completing medical and personal care tasks.

Ivel Valley is a special needs school and college in Biggleswade, providing education for pupils aged 3-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Our school site on Hitchmead Road supports pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 4 with the majority of students continuing on to post-16 education at our College site at The Baulk, Biggleswade.
The posts are permanent working term time only with a flexible start time of between 8.45 - 9.15am and finish time of between 3.00 - 3.45pm. Part-time requests will also be considered for a reduced number of days. You will be provided with a full induction programme to give you the training you need to succeed. You are not required to have any school-based experience, just a great attitude! Experience in the social care sector would be an advantage (but isn’t essential). You will join an established team of supportive colleagues.
Pay Scale: NJC 1D Point 2 - 4. This is a term time only contract but you will be paid for 45.4 weeks per year to cover working INSET days, holiday pay and bank holidays.
