We’re hiring a Customer Service Contractor!
About ivee: ivee is a platform that helps individuals and companies stay competitive amid AI job shifts. We’re VC-backed, with epic angel investors including Steven Bartlett and ex-LinkedIn operators. AI is reshaping jobs fast, but endless tools keep flooding in - leaving everyone lost on what skills truly matter. We cut through the noise by scanning job data to pinpoint must-learn skills (skipping the hype), building a personal training plan, and creating an up-to-date skills profile employers trust. Join our fast-growing early-stage startup to be a part of our mission with a meaningful impact.
Role overview: We’re after a proactive and AI-savvy individual to join our customer service team. These are qualities we value more highly than your experience. We need someone who is OBSESSED with delivering an above-and-beyond customer service. This is a remote contractor role at 5 hours a week (1 hour per day) with capped hours. You will play a key role in answering our user queries across email and LinkedIn, managing automated responses, and ensuring all our customer interactions align with our brand’s friendly, actionable, and helpful voice.
What do we mean by ‘AI-savvy’? We’re looking for someone who has an understanding of AI tools and is comfortable using them in everyday work. It’s not just having one tool or tech stack you’re comfortable with, but having an always-learning attitude of leveraging the latest tools effectively to make processes more efficient, solve problems, and automate manual tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to user queries: Manage and answer our inboxes across email and LinkedIn in a timely and professional manner. You will not be handling client enquiries.
- Ensure quality and consistency: Critically review automatically-generated responses to ensure they are accurate, up to date, and being delivered in the right tone.
- Use AI tools and automation: Work with n8n to ensure automated responses are updated and efficient. Help triage responses and escalate complex issues to the relevant team members.
- Think commercially: Display critical thinking and commercial acumen by identifying key issues (such as large sales leads or technological problems) and flagging them appropriately.
- Maintain brand standards: We’re very proud of the brand we’ve built at ivee, with 5* reviews on TrustPilot. Go the extra mile to ensure users feel valued with personal-sounding follow-ups and an innovative above-and-beyond service (e.g., sending flowers when a user lands a new role or promotion).
- Collaborate with the ivee team: Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure effective communication, process improvements, and alignment with company goals.
Requirements:
- n8n: Familiarity with the automation tool, n8n, is an essential requirement for this role.
- Customer Service experience: Previous experience in customer service is essential.
- Attention to detail and organisation: Ensure all responses are timely, organised, and always aligned with the brand standards.
- Familiar with email etiquette: All responses should be well-organised, professional, and friendly.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to critically assess incoming queries and auto-drafted responses for the most effective resolution path.
- Empathy: Ensure every customer interaction reflects empathy and friendliness, with an above-and-beyond service style. We like to leave a positive lasting impact on every user.
- Can-do mindset: As an early-stage startup, we encourage all of our employees to never take anything at face value. We love having people around who challenge their own work and the work of others in the organisation to become more efficient and yield better results.
- Right to work in the UK: Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Must be available to start immediately.
Salary: £15/hour
