Job Description

What We Do:

The client offers digital product companies a revolutionary approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of compiling and maintaining a complex array of payments-related applications and services, the client acts as a Merchant of Record for their customers, eliminating 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. This approach is faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, superior. The client is supported by investors and serves over 5,000 software sellers across 245 territories globally.

The Role:

Join a team leading the development of Developer Experience efforts within the Experience group, a crucial component in delivering solutions to technical stakeholders in SaaS businesses. We are searching for an ambitious and autonomous Product Manager with deep knowledge or experience in areas like developer tooling, APIs, developer documentation, SDKs, and technical onboarding to:

  • Help achieve our strategic vision of becoming the growth platform for SaaS businesses.
  • Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team (with engineers and a product designer) to achieve this vision.

Selling online as a software business involves a complex process, requiring many components to work seamlessly to capture revenue and deliver it to sellers. The client manages subscription billing and payments, alleviating this burden from customers. They handle millions of payments globally and offer functionality to manage subscription billing, reduce churn, and optimize acquisition, all while ensuring accurate tax application and remittance across jurisdictions. This requires accurate and easily accessible data and insights so that customers can operate and grow their businesses effectively with the client.

As a Product Manager in this team, you are key to a successful product launch and its continuous development. You will be responsible for delivering an ambitious roadmap for your team and working continuously with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the right products are built. We\’re aiming to develop a world-class product team capable of creating an industry-leading organization. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to be part of something challenging and transformative and play a critical role in driving our success.

What You\’ll Do:

  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key milestones and deliverables.
  • Use internal and external analyses to inform the strategic direction of the product roadmap, ensuring Product & Engineering has the right impact.
  • Guide effective discovery of new initiatives, run agile workshops, and facilitate prioritization conversations.
  • Define and prioritize product features and requirements based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals.

Product Development and Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design; develop appropriate planning, prioritization, and delivery processes to launch new features and high-quality products on time and within budget, delivering fast value to software sellers.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including updates and enhancements, ensuring products remain competitive and meet customer needs.

Market Analysis and Research:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product decisions and improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the competition.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Communicate product strategy and progress to stakeholders, including team members and customers.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.
  • Present product updates and performance metrics to stakeholders regularly.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Analyze product performance using data, and use insights to drive continuous improvement and determine the product roadmap. Decide when actions are needed to upgrade, improve, revise, or reposition products based on product performance.
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimization techniques to enhance product features and ensure the product offers the best user experience and meets customer needs.

Go-to-Market Execution:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for product launches and updates.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
  • Create marketing collateral, sales training materials, and other support documentation.
  • Train sales and support teams on product features and benefits.

We\’d Love to Hear From You If You:

  • Have worked in a technical/development role in the past or enjoy building on the side.
  • Cannot tolerate a poor developer experience and have a good eye for what technical users need.
  • Are excited by and have specific experience in working with technical stakeholders, creating powerful developer tools, onboarding flows within technical products, or creating great developer documentation.
  • Are a Product Manager who enjoys working in cross-functional teams alongside engineers, product designers, and other functions to deliver value through frequent product launches.
  • Are comfortable getting into the details of technical concepts and can work closely with engineers to find effective solutions.
  • Spend time speaking to customers and finding various ways to gather insights to build a world-class product.
  • Understand that measuring success through metrics is crucial in Product and can draw insights from data to ensure the right products are built.
  • Love solving problems in innovative and creative ways.
