Job Description
The client is looking for driven and enthusiastic individuals to join their team and contribute to progress within the rail industry. The role focuses on creating a better-connected network and involves several key responsibilities within the IT department:
- Managing the IT Service Desk on a day-to-day basis
- Providing 1st/2nd line support within IT Support delivery, including IT Support, networks, infrastructure, and hardware lifecycle management
- Being part of the escalation route for support issues
- Engaging with IT Continual Service Improvement plans
- Creating and maintaining technical support documents, ensuring they are reviewed and updated
- Overseeing the BAU Asset Management lifecycle
- Ensuring adherence to current policies, including those related to Cyber Security and Asset Management
- Transitioning projects into BAU support with complete documentation and training
- Identifying gaps and requirements within the team\’s knowledge and tools, and providing feedback
- Collaborating with the business to deliver projects
About the Person:
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and dedicated team player who is passionate about delivering exceptional support and driving the team towards success. Experience in working with both teams and the business, along with demonstrating change leadership in working practices, support, and project delivery, is essential.
- Over 5 years of experience in providing technical support
- Experience with Server 2016 to Server 2022
- Proficiency with O365 and Windows 10/11
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Experience in creating and maintaining technical documents
- Working and improving technical processes
- Understanding and adhering to Cyber Security Principles
- Ability to collaborate with the business and support team to address challenges and identify solutions
- Skills in creating and presenting reports to all business levels, including Exec Team Members
- Experience working with third parties to resolve issues and deliver projects
- Desktop support and investigative skills
