As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a part‑time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, experienced and forward‑thinking team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys variety, continuity of care and working cases up to a high clinical standard. Our diverse small animal caseload includes cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, with an excellent balance of consultations and surgery. Alongside routine procedures, you'll have exposure to orthopaedics, dentistry, splenectomies and a broad range of more advanced medical and surgical cases, giving you the chance to develop your skills while taking true ownership of your patients from diagnosis through to recovery.

Working across our two purpose‑built practices in Sherborne and Yeovil, you'll have access to a comprehensive range of modern facilities designed to support high‑quality veterinary care. Equipment includes digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, and separate cat and dog wards with dedicated isolation facilities. We're also proud to hold Silver ISFM accreditation, reflecting our commitment to providing outstanding feline‑friendly care.

You’ll become part of a collaborative and supportive team of six Veterinary Surgeons, six Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Student Veterinary Nurses and a dedicated Client Care Team. We also work closely with a visiting orthopaedic specialist, providing additional support for complex cases and creating excellent opportunities for learning and professional development.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern

  • Part‑time role working 8:30am - 6:30pm across two days per week
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am - 12:30pm)
  • No out‑of‑hours or on‑call commitments
