We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Rhyd Broughton Clinic on a full-time basis. Rhyd Broughton Clinic is a busy first opinion small animal practice serving the Wrexham and Chester area. Our team includes 13 Veterinary Surgeons, a 15-strong nursing team made up of RVNs, SVNs and ACAs, alongside 15 additional support colleagues, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a varied role where you will be involved in inpatient care, theatre, dental and diagnostic support, anaesthetic monitoring, nurse consultations and laboratory work. As a registered RVN training practice, you will also have the opportunity to support and mentor student nurses as part of their development.
This is a full-time role working 35 hours across 4 days, Monday to Friday. You will also take part in a 1 in 5 weekend rota, with Saturday shifts typically 8:30am to around 1:30pm and Sunday shifts typically 8:30am to around 11:00am. Finish times may vary, and time off in lieu is provided for weekend work.
General responsibilities include:
- Deliver high standards of nursing care to hospitalised patients
- Support theatre, dental and diagnostic procedures alongside the veterinary team
- Monitor anaesthesia and support patient recovery
- Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare
