Kingston Veterinary Group is a long established group of 2 practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset. We operate across two locations, offering Small Animal and Farm animal care, all conveniently situated close to each other. Our state‑of‑the‑art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver Veterinary care with a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance. We are dedicated to providing exceptional Veterinary care to all of our patients and clients, whilst prioritising staff wellbeing and development.

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely. Working under the direction of a veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse, you’ll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

We are looking for a Full time Veterinary Care Assistant to join our wonderful team, on a full time basis working Monday to Friday, 40 hours with a 1:4 Saturday morning inclusive. The role will be predominantly working at our Sherborne site, but with having the flexibility to work at our Yeovil site when needed. Prior experience working as a Veterinary Care Assistant is essential, with being able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the role. We would prefer applicants to either be already studying, or have completed the Veterinary Nursing Assistant diploma. You will be a strong advocate of delivering exceptional patient care, with outstanding communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment is key.
