Established over 50 years ago, Marple Veterinary Centre is situated in central Marple in the South East corner of Greater Manchester. Marple is an attractive little town with a village identity boasting a lively market street with cafes, bars and restaurants as well as great transport links into Manchester and most parts of the North West.

We run 15 minute consultations and each vet has a morning and afternoon admin slots as well as a scheduled lunch break. We divert our out of hours calls and all inpatients are transferred over to vets now allowing our team to leave on time and enjoy their downtime.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Marple Vets are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant to assist our nursing and reception teams in a busy small animal practice. The ideal candidate would have some experience in veterinary/animal management and with the general public. They must be a dedicated animal lover and must work well within a team.

This role will involve:

  • Assisting our clinical team with daily tasks
  • Preparing consult rooms
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Helping with stock control
  • Restocking
  • Sterilising equipment
  • Handling and caring for animals with compassion and confidence
  • Assisting reception with bookings and calls when required

This is a part-time permanent role working 25.5 hours between Monday-Friday 8am-6:30pm and will be required to work on a Saturday rota 1 in 5 8:30am-11:45am.
