We are a small but busy practice located on the beautiful Hampshire Coast Line, enjoying the tranquillity of small-town life whilst being located between two major cities, Southampton, and Portsmouth. We pride ourselves on our preventative medicine and aim to provide gold standard care, being able to offer many in-house procedures that would normally require costly referral. We have a friendly, compassionate, supportive team of vets and nurses, who regularly enjoy social events together outside of work.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience at every interaction. You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications, and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth, care and professionalism
  • Managing face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries efficiently
  • Booking and coordinating appointments across the clinical team
  • Handling payments, insurance claims and client records accurately
  • Supporting clients during sensitive or emotional situations with compassion
  • Working closely with vets and nurses to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

This is a full-time role working a variety of shifts including:

  • 8:30-5:50
  • 9:00-6:00
  • 10:00-7:00
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:30-4:00
