We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Rowe Vets, Bradley Stoke on a 12-month fixed‑term contract.
Rowe Vets, Bradley Stoke is a busy 24‑hour veterinary hospital and referral centre based in Bristol, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a fast‑paced and supportive clinical environment. You’ll be joining a highly skilled team of vets, nurses, and clinical support colleagues, all working together to deliver exceptional patient and client care. This role offers exposure to a varied caseload across both first opinion and referral services, giving you the opportunity to develop and utilise a broad range of nursing skills. With a mix of surgical, medical, inpatient, emergency, and critical care cases, this is a rewarding position for an RVN who enjoys variety and thrives as part of a multidisciplinary team.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a varied role where you will be involved in surgical and medical nursing, inpatient care, anaesthesia, emergency and critical care, and supporting patients throughout their journey. You will work closely with multiple departments, helping to ensure continuity of care and excellent communication across the team.
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract working 30 hours per week on a weekly rota, with a combination of early and late shifts. There is also a 1 in 6 weekend rota, with time off in lieu.
General responsibilities include:
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied hospital caseload
- Support surgical and medical cases, including anaesthesia monitoring and patient care
- Provide excellent inpatient, emergency, and critical care nursing
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments to support patient flow and continuity of care
