Our people are at the heart of everything that we do. Work‑life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Whether you need reduced working days/hours, a more flexible rota pattern, or a fixed Saturday schedule, we can adjust patterns to suit you. Typically, full‑time hours consist of working 4 days a week between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm. Our weekend schedule is 1:4 Saturdays, carrying out consults between 9 am – 1 pm when Vets Now take over.

About Us

Our team consists of 9 experienced veterinary surgeons and 1 2nd‑year graduate, supported by an excellent team of RVNs, SVNs and wider support staff. We have a range of certificate holders in small animal medicine and endoscopy, an acupuncture practitioner, and a PhD holder in nematodes. Our Head Nurse has a CertVN ECC alongside certificates in analgesia and anaesthesia. As a Tier 2 RCVS accredited surgery, we have advanced diagnostic facilities such as digital radiography, ultrasonography and endoscopy. We offer a range of clinical services from preventative healthcare through to complex medical, surgical and orthopaedic procedures. Our onsite laboratory allows most blood samples to be analysed the same day. We are located in Pershore, on the edge of the Cotswolds, with great attractions such as Pershore Abbey. Excellent transport links mean we are only 40 minutes from Bristol and Birmingham, and an hour and a half from London.

Here’s What the Team Has to Say

“I’ve always had a keen interest in surgery so after qualifying as an RVN in 2019, I left Martin & Carr to work as a surgical nurse in a large referral clinic. I soon realised that what I’d left behind was a progressive practice that’s keen to teach and encourage. I returned in 2020 where I achieved a Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency & Critical Care (CertVNECC) and a certificate in analgesia and anaesthesia. All thanks to Martin & Carr.” – Amy, Head Nurse
