We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at

Otter Vets on a full-time basis . We’re also happy to consider part-time applications for the right candidate.

Otter Vets has two branches based in the coastal town of Sidmouth and the market town of Ottery St Mary in Devon.

We’re well established within our local community and regularly get involved in charity events, from our fun dog show and coffee mornings to Christmas advent calendars.

You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team, working alongside two experienced senior nurses and having the opportunity to get involved across all areas of first opinion nursing.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

  • Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting surgical procedures

Our full-time position is 41 hours per week, although we’re open to discussing part-time working patterns.

  • 4 days per week between 8:00am and 6:00pm
  • 1:4 Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 1:00pm
  • No Sunday working
  • No out-of-hours requirement

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience
