About the Practice
Miramar Vets in Sheringham could be your perfect move if you’re a confident, capable vet ready to take the next step in your career with a strong focus on clinical leadership and development. Miramar Vets is a bright, spacious and welcoming practice designed to make every day feel enjoyable and well supported. With four consulting rooms including a dedicated RVN consulting space and a peaceful rainbow room, our environment is built around comfort and care. You’ll find separate reception areas for cats and dogs, species‑specific kennels, an isolation ward, and a fully equipped in‑house lab with external support from IDEXX. Our clinical facilities include a generous prep room, a well‑organised theatre, a dedicated X‑ray room, and ultrasound. Behind the scenes, our two shared offices and staff room (well‑stocked with tea, coffee, and plenty of snacks!) give the team space to unwind and stay connected.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will work closely with the Director of Practice and Clinical Services to support clinical excellence, contribute to team development, and help shape the future of the practice. This role combines hands‑on clinical work with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring colleagues, supporting clinical standards, and contributing to the management of more complex cases. Our patients are predominantly cats and dogs, accompanied by rabbits, small furries, the occasional chicken and the odd wildlife case. Sheringham attracts many holidaymakers, so during peak seasons we also see a higher volume of tourists, giving you an interesting variety in your consults. Each of our vets enjoys a guaranteed ops day, typically involving routine but rewarding surgeries such as spays, castrates, lumpectomies, dentals, splenectomies, and more. While we have the ability to refer, we aim for continuity wherever possible and keep most cases in‑house.
