As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience for every client and pet visiting the practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

  • General Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients and clinical teams to deliver a high standard of customer care
  • Meet and greet clients and their pets
  • Book appointments and manage clinician diaries
  • Manage telephone and email enquiries
  • Take payments for services and products
  • Manage cash handling and end-of-day banking processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for clients and pets

Our reception team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every client has the best possible experience when visiting the practice.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role workimg

  • Tuesday: 7.30am–1.30pm (6 hours)
  • Thursday: 8.00am–2.00pm (6 hours)
  • Friday: 1.30pm–7.30pm (6 hours) – this would also help to ensure CHL is not working alone
  • 1:4 Saturday at Newbury (8 hours)
  • 1 in 10 Sunday 9am to 12pm paid in TOIL.
