Leonard Brothers Vets, Nantwich is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Practice Manager to join our thriving small animal practice. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of a well-established clinic, working alongside an experienced Practice Director and Clinical Director to support both our team and clients.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As Practice Manager, you will lead the non‑clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day‑to‑day running, strong team performance and an outstanding client experience. You’ll be responsible for operational delivery, people management and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week across 5 days, Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
  • No out‑of‑hours commitments

Key Responsibilities

  • Day‑to‑day operational management of the practice
  • Leadership, development and support of the practice team
  • HR administration and people management
  • Financial administration, reporting and budgeting support
  • Client communication and customer service excellence
  • Practice administration and compliance
  • Supporting business performance and continuous improvement initiatives

You are an experienced people and operations manager with strong leadership capability. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary or service‑led environments
  • Strong people management skills, including performance management and team development
  • Good operational and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience handling complaints, change and complex situations with confidence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong administrative and financial management abilities
  • A proactive, positive and solutions‑focused approach
  • Veterinary industry experience is highly desirable, although candidates with transferable management experience from other sectors will also be considered
