About the role
We're looking for a Senior Insight Analyst to join our Insight & Analytics team within the Group Acquisition & Analytics function. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping our business understand, measure and optimise the effectiveness of our digital marketing and customer acquisition activities across the group. No two days are the same. You'll work across a wide range of projects, from building new datasets and automating reporting processes to customer behaviour analysis, marketing performance evaluation, experimentation, and advanced statistical analysis. Experience with digital marketing data would be useful, but the most important requirement is a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work confidently with data from raw inputs through to clear conclusions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Turning complex business questions into structured analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Working end-to-end across the analytical lifecycle, from data preparation and validation through to insight generation and stakeholder communication.
- Developing robust reporting and visualisations that drive business understanding and decision-making.
- Analysing customer, commercial and marketing performance data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Supporting optimisation initiatives through experimentation, A/B testing and statistical analysis.
- Building automated and reproducible analytical workflows.
- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the business.
What We're Looking For
- End-to-end analytical problem solving.
- Proven ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, conclusions and practical recommendations.
- Able to work independently from initial problem definition through data preparation, analysis, validation and communication.
- Strong commercial judgement and an ability to identify the implications of analytical findings and explain very technical concepts in simple terms and with clear visualisations.
- Experience presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and able to challenge assumptions and influence decisions through evidence.
Technical skill
- Advanced SQL, including building, debugging and validating multi-stage queries across complex datasets.
- Confident writing from scratch in R and/or Python for data analysis, automation and reproducible reporting.
- Experience using GitHub or similar tools for version control, collaboration and maintaining reliable code.
- A degree in a mathematical or adjacent subject.
- Strong applied statistical knowledge, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, modelling and sampling.
Customer and marketing insight
- Experience analysing customer, commercial, marketing or product performance.
- Strong understanding of cohort analysis, acquisition, conversion, retention and customer value.
Desirable Experience
- PowerBI development and dashboard maintenance.
- Experience designing or evaluating experiments and incrementality studies, including defining hypotheses, selecting appropriate cohorts, assessing statistical power and interpreting results.
- Experience working with digital marketing tools and datasets including Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Ahrefs, CRM (e.g. Emarsys).
- Experience with digital acquisition or performance marketing.
- Experience with Databricks or similar data engineering and analytics platforms.
- Experience using BigQuery.
- CLTV, payback, churn or retention modelling.
- CRM, subscription, ecommerce or repeat-purchase customer analysis.
- Experience working across multiple markets, brands or business units.
- Workflow automation or AI-assisted analysis.
- Experience of implementing Machine Learning models.
- Experience in veterinary or pet-industry is an advantage.
