We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Acorn Vets on a part‑time basis. Acorn Veterinary Surgery is a thriving 2‑site practice with state‑of‑the‑art equipment such as an in‑house laboratory, digital x‑ray, ultrasound machine, digital dental x‑ray and an operating theatre. The main site is situated on Portland Road in Hove, with a branch practice in Hangleton. There are a passionate team of 4 vets and 7 nurses working between the two sites. There are local attractions around both sites and the Hove practice is a 5‑minute walk from a beautiful seafront. The practices are situated 10‑minutes to the South Downs by car. Hove is situated within Brighton and is a fun place to live and work with great transport links to London.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is an exciting part‑time position, looking for 26‑28 hours per week, covering 3 days per week. We understand the importance of maintaining a work/life balance, so there’s no out‑of‑hours work, and weekend commitments include only 1:4 Saturday mornings.
