How You’ll Make a Difference
We are seeking an experienced, organised, and highly personable Head Veterinary Receptionist to lead our small animal practices front‑of‑house teams across our three branches in Rufford, Southport and Tarleton. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional client experience while supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practices. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for client care, and a background in veterinary or healthcare reception.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support the reception team, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism
- Oversee front desk operations including appointment scheduling, client communications, and workflow management
- Handle client queries and concerns with empathy and efficiency
- Manage rotas, training, and performance development for reception staff
- Ensure accurate record‑keeping and compliance with practice protocols
- Work closely with veterinary surgeons and nurses to optimise client and patient flow
- Maintain a welcoming, organised, and calm reception environment
- Support practice management with administrative tasks and service improvements
