We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Boyce & Houston Vets on a full-time 12 month contract. Conveniently located only 30 minutes from both Glasgow and Loch Lomond, with excellent public transport links, our practice provides an ideal balance between work and lifestyle. Our fully equipped facility features two operating theatres, five consultation rooms, separate wards for cats and dogs, isolation walk-in kennel, multiparameter, new ultrasonography machine, digital X-ray enhanced with Signal Pet AI, new digital x-ray machine enhanced with Signal Smile AI and in-house lab.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. We are happy to consider both part-time and full-time hours for this role, depending on what best suits your lifestyle. The position includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and no out-of-hours work.
General responsibilities include:
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Monitoring anaesthesia
