Bellevue Vets, part of IVC, is a Silver ISFM-accredited practice in the charming market town of Frome, is looking for a part time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our welcoming and supportive team.

Housed within a beautifully converted barn, our practice combines character with modern veterinary medicine, creating a relaxed and friendly environment for both clients and colleagues.

You’ll enjoy a varied small animal caseload, caring for cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, with the occasional exotic or wildlife patient adding even more variety to your day.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys a balanced mix of consulting and surgery.

You’ll have the time and clinical freedom to work cases up thoroughly, build lasting relationships with clients and provide continuity of care, all while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team whenever needed.

Our practice is well‑equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, Vet Air dental equipment and multiparameter monitoring, alongside excellent referral pathways that ensure the very best outcomes for your patients.

You’ll become part of a close-knit team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and dedicated Client Care professionals, led by a highly supportive Practice Director.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice.

You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

  • Part time 20 hours per week across 2 days. We ideally need someone who can work on a Thursday but can be flexible on the other day during the week.
  • The weekend commitment is 1:4 Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm, and there are no out‑of‑hours or on‑call requirements, allowing you to enjoy a genuine balance between work and life outside the clinic.

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
