We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Richmond House Vets on a full-time or part‑time basis.

As part of Gatehouse Veterinary Group, you’ll benefit from the support, training, and guidance of a highly experienced leadership team, alongside the stability of a larger group. Gatehouse is proud to hold awards for outstanding performance within the Practice Standards Scheme (PSS), and Richmond House Vets will be working towards PSS compliance at General Practice level. We are relocating to a brand-new, purpose‑built site near Mirfield, fully equipped with modern facilities including a dental suite, separate species wards, digital x‑ray, and theatres. How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral part of our team, providing a wide range of nursing duties. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • General nursing duties, including patient care, anaesthesia, and assisting in surgery
  • Performing diagnostic imaging, lab work, and radiography
  • Providing exceptional nursing care to inpatients, including monitoring during anaesthesia and recovery
  • Conducting nurse clinics and providing client education
  • Assisting with procedures, routine consultations, and theatre duties

Working Pattern

  • 40-hour working week
  • Hours worked over four or five days
  • 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota (8:00am - 1:00pm)
  • No out-of-hours responsibilities
  • Part-time applications welcomed
  • Working across both Allerton and Richmond branches
