About The Role

Are you a qualified Veterinary Surgeon looking to step away from hands‑on clinical practice while still using your expertise to support patient safety and regulatory compliance? We’re recruiting a Veterinary Non‑Surgical Compliance Vet to join our Veterinary Quality & Compliance team in a fast‑paced, operational environment. This is a non‑practising role focused on reviewing and authorising veterinary prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, legality and the highest standards of patient safety. This hybrid position combines veterinary expertise with quality assurance and compliance work. You’ll be responsible for reviewing high volumes of prescriptions, ensuring they meet all legal and regulatory requirements before medication is supplied.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and authorise veterinary prescriptions prior to supply
  • Ensure prescriptions meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards
  • Verify dosage accuracy and medication suitability
  • Double‑check transcribed prescription data within internal systems
  • Support patient safety and continuous quality improvement
  • Work closely with the Veterinary Quality Assurance team
  • Handle a continuously refreshing, high‑volume workflow accurately and efficiently

This is a screen‑based role for most of the day, within a highly detail‑oriented and compliance‑driven environment. Orders refresh regularly and the team collectively processes high volume of prescriptions daily.

About You

Essential:

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ veterinary experience
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy
  • Confidence interpreting and validating veterinary prescriptions
  • Team‑focused with strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment

Desirable:

  • Small animal / Equine background
  • Comfortable transitioning away from clinical, hands‑on practice
