We are looking to hire a Veterinary Surgeon and Branch Lead for our Filton and Patchway practices. The role will be predominantly based at our Filton practice, with 1–2 days per week at our Patchway clinic. As Branch Lead, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of both branches, ensuring the smooth running of each practice, updating protocols, leading branch meetings and supporting your local team. Filton is a single-vet practice offering a mix of surgery and consulting, while Patchway is a consulting-only branch. This role is ideal for someone looking to combine clinical work with their first leadership opportunity.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of both branches, making this an excellent first leadership opportunity
  • Manage a varied first-opinion caseload, including consultations and routine surgery
  • Update practice protocols and implement new processes to continually improve the service we provide

Working Pattern

37.9 hours per week with a fixed day off 8:30am–6:30pm across 4 days per week, 3 in 11 weekend rota.

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
