We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at White Cross Vets, Eccleshillon on a full‑time basis. The practice currently employs 2 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 2 client care advisors. We promote an open dialogue and focus on supporting each other at work. Every decision related to the practice is made after consulting the team and getting feedback from everyone involved. Our practice has a Dental x‑ray, main x‑ray, new ultrasound machine, in‑house laboratory, in‑house Sedivue for urine analysis and we're currently completing our ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic status.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a full‑time position of 37.5 per week, with shifts typically running from 08:30–16:30 or 11:00–19:00. You will also take part in a 1-in‑4 Saturday rota at our Stanningley branch (08:00–12:30), with time off given during the week to compensate.

General responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and recovering surgical patients
  • Nursing inpatients
  • Carry out a variety of nurse consults
  • Taking x‑rays including dental
  • Running in‑house laboratory tasks
