We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Bath Cat Clinic on a full-time/part-time basis. This will be fixed-term for 12 months. Bath Cat Clinic is part of Bath Vets. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment and great benefits.

By joining our group, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing excellent standards of client and animal care. We are a small, very friendly team with a huge amount of passion for what we do and our aim is to provide a first class service to the cats of Bath and the surrounding areas.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely. Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients. The role would include handling animals for basic veterinary procedures, helping to provide post-operative care including feeding patients, help set up and clear down a theatre for surgical procedures, and assist with dispensing medications. As a Veterinary Care Assistant you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the vet practice. You will also clean, sterilise and pack surgical instruments, and ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday with 1 in 3 Saturday morning shifts. Shifts between 8:30am and 6:30pm.
