How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. Please note that this role would require you to cover sole charge duties for at least 3 of your working days. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Our passion for delivering outstanding care to pets and their owners is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll enjoy a varied caseload, with a balance of consultations and surgeries involving cats, dogs, rabbits, and small furries. Routine procedures such as spays, castrates, lump removals, and dentals are a key part of our day, alongside any ECC case that keeps things interesting.

Proper work life balance

We understand that a great career should fit around a fulfilling life outside of work. We’re open to both full‑time and part‑time applications, with our full‑time hours typically spread over four days. You’ll join our 1:3 Saturday morning rota (8:30 am–12:30 pm) and enjoy a role with no out‑of‑hours requirements, giving you plenty of time to recharge.

Our small but well‑equipped practice is designed to help you deliver the best possible care. We have a welcoming reception area with separate cat and dog waiting spaces, three consult rooms—including one dedicated to nurse clinics—a operating theatre, prep area, and a separate X‑ray room. Our facilities include ultrasound, dental X‑ray, laparoscopic equipment, and all the tools you’d expect to support high‑quality veterinary work. Our team is made up of three RVNs, a VCA, two receptionists, one vet and our fantastic practice manager.
