Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal role at IVC Evidensia. Salary up to £65,000 DOE FTE.

Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a new role? Our Yate practice is not your standard GP practice! We are fully equipped with ultrasound, digital X‑ray imaging, and advanced dental facilities, allowing us to manage a wide range of cases in‑house. The practice does general surgery to a high level and traditionally refers very little from a normal general practice workload. Often the cases that are referred to our team within the Rowe Referrals Hospital are happy to have you follow your case through.

You will work alongside a team of 9 vets, some of whom hold or are working towards their advanced practitioner status. A large passionate team of clinical and non‑clinical support from nurses, care assistants and the admin team accompanies us. You will also be joining a larger team here at Rowe with over 40 first‑opinion vets, 10 referral vets and a significant workforce spanning our 7 sites.

At IVC Evidensia, we’re driven by the passion and commitment of our people across clinical, operational and support teams. With over 2,500 clinics and hospitals in 20 countries and around 41,000 employees, we work together to care for around 25,000 animals every day. United by a shared purpose – Healthy Animals, Happy Owners – we’re proud to champion long‑term animal health and welfare through the dedication of every individual across our international network.

Our full‑time roles work on a 4‑day a week rota with a current commitment where you will work at our ECC hospital alongside two other vets, managing our inpatients and emergency for our group as well as several other local veterinary practices. This gives you the opportunity to see those cases that are not routine and gain valuable exposure to ECC medicine. The weekend hours are 8 AM‑6 PM on a current 1:9 weekend commitment. Our 4‑day week also includes an early finish to get you out the door by 4:30 PM once a week, with your other days working 8:30 AM‑7 PM.

Benefits at a Glance:

  • Work‑life Balance & Wellbeing
  • 6.6 weeks’ holiday including bank holidays – plus your birthday off
  • Private medical insurance
  • Enhanced family‑friendly leave and pay
  • 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme
  • Development
  • £1,250 CPD allowance + 40 hours paid CPD
  • Certificate and advanced learning support & access to Vetlexicon online resources
  • World‑leading IVC Evidensia Training Centres
  • £1,250 annual Care Fund for every vet
  • Professional Memberships
  • BVA membership
