We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Alma Veterinary Hospital on a full-time basis. Alma Veterinary Hospital is a fully equipped first‑opinion practice with excellent facilities and a varied surgical and medical caseload. The hospital features four consultation rooms, separate cat and dog waiting areas and wards, a dedicated dental suite, advanced imaging facilities, and a full in‑house laboratory. Our extensive equipment includes a Karl Storz laparoscopy tower, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, ECG, capnography, and more. We are proud to be the only practice within a 15‑mile radius offering laparoscopic surgery, allowing us to provide advanced, minimally invasive care alongside the personal approach of a community‑focused hospital.
We have a fantastic and supportive team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 student nurses, and 8 dedicated support staff, including our Practice Manager, Reception and Admin teams, and a Nursing Assistant. Many of our team members have been part of Alma for years, creating a welcoming and collaborative environment where everyone works together and supports one another. How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. We know work‑life balance matters and offer a sustainable shift pattern between the hours of 8 am and 7 pm. There is a requirement to work 1 night shift per week and 1 weekend every 6. We are happy to consider a 4‑day working week also.
