Overview

An exciting permanent opportunity has opened for a Veterinary Surgeon to become part of our friendly and supportive team at Isle Vets in Ely, Cambridgeshire. We’re seeking a driven vet with at least two years of experience. Salary up to £65,000 DOE and up to £5,000 relocation allowance. This role is based on a four-day week up to 40 hours, with 1:3 Saturday mornings and 1 night on call. Although full-time, we’re happy to discuss part-time hours for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting and operating on a variety of routine and urgent cases; a consult-only role can be accommodated if desired.
  • Dentals, orthopedics, thyroidectomies, scans, soft tissue surgeries, endoscope use, and work within a state-of-the-art in-house laboratory with extensive tests.

About the Practice

We are a busy first opinion practice with a purpose-built building in the rural area of Ely, Cambridgeshire. We have a wide range of veterinary equipment including a brand-new x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and dental x-ray. The team includes 6 veterinary general practitioners with areas of interest and diagnostic imaging certification, a visiting orthopedic surgeon and ECC Nurse, and an 8‑nurse team with wound care, ISFM certification and Emergency and Critical Care. A visiting orthopaedic specialist attends regularly for collaboration.
