We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Referral Veterinary Surgeon to join our teams across frank. Pet Surgeons (Leeds) and Swift Referrals (Wetherby) in a dual-site role combining orthopaedic and soft tissue caseload.

This position offers the opportunity to work within two established, well-equipped referral hospitals located approximately 30 minutes apart, allowing you to maintain and develop expertise across both disciplines while working within collaborative, specialist-led teams.

The Role

This is a permanent, full-time position.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Manage a referral orthopaedic caseload at Frank. Pet Surgeons, including advanced fracture management, TPLOs, complex joint procedures and spinal surgery.
  • Provide soft tissue referral surgery at Swift Referrals, undertaking a varied and challenging caseload including oncologic, reconstructive and thoracic procedures.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across both sites to deliver outstanding patient care.
  • Support interns and nursing teams where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of both services.

The split between sites can be structured to suit service needs and individual strengths.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and team-orientated clinician who is passionate about delivering high standards of referral care.

Applicants Should

  • Be RCVS registered (or eligible).
  • Applicants should be residency trained and board-certified (ECVS/ACVS), or board-eligible. Candidates holding a CertAVP (or equivalent advanced certificate) with substantial referral experience will also be considered.

You will be confident managing complex surgical cases and enjoy working within a collaborative referral environment.

Frank. Pet Surgeons is a dedicated surgical referral center with a strong orthopaedic focus and an established reputation across Yorkshire. The hospital is well-equipped with modern operating theatres and advanced imaging support, managing a varied and consistent caseload including complex fracture repair, TPLOs, arthroscopy, corrective osteotomies and selected spinal procedures. The team includes experienced surgeons, rotating interns and a skilled referral nursing team who work closely together to provide high standards of peri-operative care. The practice benefits from strong referral relationships and a steady, high-quality orthopaedic workload.

Swift Referrals – Wetherby

Swift Referrals is a multidisciplinary referral hospital offering advanced diagnostic capabilities including CT and MRI, dedicated surgical theatres and well-equipped ICU facilities. The soft tissue caseload is broad and stimulating, including oncologic, thoracic, advanced abdominal and reconstructive procedures, alongside minimally invasive techniques. You will be supported by an established referral team and experienced RVNs in a collaborative environment with a strong and loyal referring network.
