Overview
We are seeking a Veterinary Clinician in Diagnostic Imaging/Ultrasound to strengthen our teams in Amsterdam, Groningen, and Arnhem. In this role, you will perform and interpret advanced imaging studies, support surgical and internal medicine cases, and help shape the future of imaging services at our hospitals. Certificate holders and diplomates are both welcome.
This role involves performing high-quality ultrasound and other imaging diagnostics, including abdominal ultrasound, while collaborating closely with surgeons, internists, and ECC specialists to provide comprehensive diagnostic support. The specialist will supervise, coach, and mentor veterinarians and technicians in imaging, ensure that all protocols and procedures meet international standards, and actively contribute to continuous education and case discussions.

- Amsterdam: 24/7 referral hospital with strong focus on ECC, surgery, imaging, and internal medicine; dynamic, growing team environment.
- Arnhem: State-of-the-art referral centre with specialisms in cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, internal medicine, oncology, imaging, and more.
- Groningen: Regional referral hub for the north of the Netherlands, focusing on imaging, ECC, and building strong specialist teams.

Applicant requirements
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has extensive experience of working in a referral hospital.
- ECVDI and ACVR recognised clinicians as well as certificate holders will be considered.
- Diplomate or certificate in Diagnostic Imaging/Ultrasound (or equivalent experience).
- Proven expertise in clinical ultrasound and imaging; candidates with at least 1 year of relevant abdominal ultrasound experience in companion animal practice are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus, or willingness to learn).
- Team spirit and motivation to build services and raise standards.
- Dutch language skills are advantageous
