Overview

Congleton Veterinary Centre are seeking a full-time Receptionist to join our front of house team to cover maternity leave for 12 months. The role involves a high level of face to face contact with clients, so we are looking for someone with confidence, empathy and experience to provide excellent standards of care and a personal touch.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients and their pets on arrival at the practice
  • Dealing with queries face to face, by telephone and by email
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring good communication between reception and the clinical teams
  • Taking payments, cashing up and submitting takings at the end of each day
  • Adhering to GDPR regulations and respecting client confidentiality
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy reception and waiting room at all times
  • Following health and safety procedures and protocols

Rota

This is a full-time role working 4 days per week from 08:15am–7:00pm with one hour lunch. Saturdays on a shared rota from 08:15am–4:00pm with half-hour lunch (same for Bank Holidays). Saturday hours are averaged into the working week (1 in 4).

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate should display excellent communication skills, be able to adapt to change within a fast-paced environment, and show empathy to clients during emotional situations. Previous experience is preferred and the ability to use IT systems is essential.
