Do you have a passion for excellent customer service and enjoy working with animals? Rowe Veterinary Group are looking for a receptionist to join our busy and friendly practice in Yate. Rowe Vet Group are based in the South West with branches in Wotton, Brimsham, Thornbury, Winterbourne and a 24 hour hospital in Bradley Stoke. As a valued member of the reception team you will be the first point of contact for pets and their owners. This role requires you to have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle as you will be working across our different sites. This is a fixed term contract lasting approximately 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets in a professional and courteous manner
  • Book, cancel, and change appointments
  • Handle queries promptly and professionally via phone, email, and face to face
  • Advise clients on preventative healthcare products and promote Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance
  • Dispense medications and prescriptions
  • Take payments, cash up, and perform all other general admin and reception duties

About you / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year office-based experience
  • Good level of education (minimum 5 GCSEs Grade C or above)
  • Reliable with excellent time management skills
  • Professional and caring telephone manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • High attention to detail

Working pattern

Monday OFF
Tuesday 1:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Wednesday 1:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Thursday OFF
Friday 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Saturday or Sunday 1:4 8 hour shifts (day and shift time to be confirmed at interview). These days are not set and could change as required.
