We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Haydon Veterinary Centre on a part‑time basis.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm (30‑minute unpaid break)
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth, care and professionalism
- Managing face‑to‑face, telephone and email enquiries efficiently
- Booking and coordinating appointments across the clinical team
- Handling payments and client records accurately
- Supporting clients during sensitive or emotional situations with compassion
- Working closely with vets and nurses to ensure smooth daily operations
- Managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Keeping the waiting area and reception clean, tidy and stocked with support materials
