Join to apply for the Veterinary Receptionist role at IVC Evidensia in Wantage, England. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract in a dynamic, animal-focused environment.

Role includes reception duties at Wantage surgery with occasional shifts at Abingdon, Didcot, and Wallingford. A reliable vehicle is essential due to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

  • Managing front-of-house operations and greeting clients and their pets warmly and professionally
  • Scheduling appointments, processing prescriptions, and assisting with medication dispensing
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and preparing documentation for veterinary staff
  • Supporting clinical staff as needed and ensuring cleanliness and stock levels in clinical and waiting areas
  • Handling payments, daily banking, client inquiries, insurance paperwork, and placing orders in line with protocols
  • Taking on sole charge duties when required and performing general administrative tasks
  • Registering new clients and communicating our services with confidence

Shift pattern

You will work a variety of shifts covering 32 hours per week, between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with weekend and bank holiday shifts on a rota basis.
