Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon - Mixed Animal role at IVC Evidensia. Here at Academy Vets, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. We are a busy mixed practice in the Southwest of Scotland where the grass is green and the sun always shines.

Salary: up to £60,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000.

Role and Responsibilities: This is a truly mixed position with no two days the same from dairy fertility, small animal consulting & surgery to health planning, fertility testing and horses.

Flexible working patterns: Full-time hours and part-time options available. The full-time position includes 42.5 hours over 5 days per week from 8:30am to 6:00pm with an hour lunch break. Part-time candidates can be accommodated by flexing hours around lifestyle. Weekend rota with on-call support (currently on a 2:10 basis) and a half-day Friday after weekend on-call; two Vets on call for backup.

About the practice and team: We are a RCVS-accredited farm and small animal general practice with facilities including latest small animal and large animal ultrasound, bull and tup fertility kit, digital radiography and Idexx suite. We are a two-site group with our main practice in Stranraer and a branch in Newton Stewart. We have a supportive and collaborative team of 10 Vets, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Auxiliary Nurses and 5 Receptionists. We support ongoing qualifications and development.
