We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Cedarwood Veterinary Practice on a full-time, permanent basis.
Cedarwood Veterinary Practice is a friendly small animal, first opinion practice working across three branches: Cedarwood, Haughley and Thurston.
This role will be based at Cedarwood Vets, with cover across our Haughley and Thurston branches as required on a rota basis.
Youll be joining a friendly and collaborative team following the recent merger of Cedarwood with Haughley and Thurston.
Across the group, our team includes 10 Veterinary Surgeons, 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse and 13 support team members, including our Practice Manager and Director of Practice.

- How You Will Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
Youll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
- Working Pattern
- 39 hours per week
- 4-day working week, with shifts from 8:15am-6:15pm
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, working 8:15am-12:15pm at Cedarwood
- No out-of-hours requirements
- Cover across the Haughley and Thurston branches as required on a rota basis
- General Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
- Run busy nurse consultations, including second vaccinations, health checks and wellness screenings
- Support post-operative checks, weight clinics and preventative healthcare
- Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
