Copeland Vets are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and well-established team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, purpose-built practice with excellent facilities, a highly experienced team and strong clinical support from neighbouring practices across Teesside.
You will be joining a stable and welcoming team where many colleagues have been with us for over 10 years, creating a supportive and collaborative working environment. With a varied first opinion caseload and access to excellent equipment, this role offers a great balance of clinical challenge and team support.
Rota patterns that work for you

Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. Ideally, we are looking to fill a full-time position working 40 hours per week across a 4-day week, providing an excellent work-life balance. You will also have a share of the Saturday rota, with the practice open from 8am to 12pm only.

We are a purpose-built practice located in Ingelby Barwick, one of the largest housing estates in Europe. The practice benefits from excellent local transport links, with Teesside Airport and strong rail connections nearby, making commuting straightforward. At the same time, we are perfectly positioned close to beautiful beaches and the Cleveland Hills, offering fantastic opportunities to enjoy the outdoors right on your doorstep.
Our practice is well-equipped with modern facilities including a separate theatre and dental suite, digital X-ray including dental radiography, laparoscopic spay equipment and a new endoscopy system, alongside a fully equipped in-house laboratory. We also have separate dog and cat wards, and nurse-led clinics are actively encouraged.
You will be working alongside a dedicated and experienced team of 2 vets, 4 nurses, an experienced ACA and a fantastic reception team. We also work closely with our two neighbouring Teesside practices, providing additional clinical support and the benefits of a wider collaborative team.
